I'm thinking of a European marathon next year, now that I have missed out on London 2012.
Paris seems good, but only a few thousand places left.

Frustration and the Virgin London Marathon
2 and 1/2 weeks after the Bupa Great North Run and I'm still waiting for a full diagnosis and MRI scan of my left knee. I am now beginning to feel really fed up and desperate to start my winter training ready for the Spring marathons.
Further disappointment followed last week when on the hottest day of the year I received my commiserations magazine and Fleece jumper for not getting into London 2012. So now I can sit at home sweating without so much as moving a fast twitch fibre muscle.
On a lighter note my new Winter Hi Viz running gear has arrived, once my knee is fine I will back out clocking up the miles in the dark.
